Using Social Media Marketing for Nonprofit Advocacy

Social Media can be a powerful tool for helping nonprofits to rally support behind a common cause. When effectively leveraged as part of an integrated nonprofit communications strategy, social media can help nonprofits to reach new audiences, strengthen relationships with existing audiences and enhance online visibility. In the best of circumstances, the right mix of compelling content and online marketing activities can even help a campaign to go viral. Think Kony 2012 and the like.
